Do you have a welcome video on your website so your potential customer gets to know you and your business? Do you know your conversion rate on Internet marketing campaigns? Are you seeking to improve your online presence? Video is becoming the marketing strategy for B2B business with over 74% of B2B marketers stating that video converts better than written content. The B2C market is not far behind. But too many small business owners hate seeing themselves in video including yours truly. It’s necessary to get past that! Let me share these stats with you:

According to an article written by Vala Afshar on January 13, 2016 for The Huffington Post, “In April of 2015, it was unveiled that over 4 billion videos were being played back each day on the Facebook platform alone. By September, this number had doubled to a staggering 8 billion video views per day.” Read More from this article.

Marketers are now seeing video as having a better ROI than content marketing. Shoppers are more likely to purchase a product due to video. So what do you do? Shoot some video!

Not all video is created equal. While I agree that most small businesses cannot possibly afford constant professional video all the time, I do believe that your home page of your website needs to have that professional look through video. Also, look at shooting a group of educational videos all at once and save money on your production costs.

It does depend on your target market as well. Under my corporation, BCoSF, Inc., I have two companies seeking very different markets. For my company, Business Consultants of South Florida, I mainly want professional video due to my ideal client. For my Global Business Consulting for the DIY Entrepreneur, I want a professional welcome video for the home page but I also want to show entrepreneurs the ongoing lifestyle through quick snippet videos of my day.

It’s estimated that approximately 1 billion users are on YouTube each month compared to only 400 million unique monthly visitors to Bing, the world’s “second largest” search engine behind Google. Does this make YouTube the second largest search engine? You be the judge of that.

Given all of these staggering statistics, you definitely want to review how you present your business through your website as well as your online marketing strategy and determine the best use of video for your business. Need assistance? Want a complimentary 15-minute consultation on how video may improve your online visibility?
