What is Your Vision for 2015?

Do you have a vision of starting a company?

Or do you already have a small business but want to grow your business to the next level?

It is not enough to dream about it, you must make it happen. To strategically plan for your company is essential but it all starts with your VISION!

Four simple yet complex steps exist to build your business: Dream, Plan, Start, and Grow!
When you understand, master and can replicate these steps, you will be able to continually add new services or products to build your business to that next level of success.

What is your Vision Statement? Remember that a vision statement is where you want to be vs. a Mission Statement is how you are going to get there.

What is your Vision? What is it for 1 year, 3 years, and 5 years? Do you get overwhelmed when you start thinking about how to make everything happen? In planning, it is essential to break it all down. Have you researched your idea? Do you fully understand your ideal client and the market analysis for your product or service? What are your company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats or SWOT Analysis? All of this is essential in bringing your vision to fulfillment. Often this gets overlooked. Creating a firm foundation with initial research is necessary.

Next set the goals for you as a person and for your business. Where do you see yourself and the business in one year from now? Once you have the goals written down, then it is time to set the strategy, which essentially is the road map of how you are going to get there. Once you have the strategies lined up, you then break each of those down into tactical elements or the items that need to be completed in order to implement those strategies.

Growing a business is not only about writing down your goals and creating the strategy; owning a business takes a certain mindset. As you may have heard, 8 of 10 entrepreneurs fail within the first 18 months. That is a daunting statistic! Having a positive mindset is essential. That doesn’t mean ignoring the problems but it does mean identifying and attacking those problems in a certain way. If every thing that goes wrong gets you down then you are probably not cut out to be an entrepreneur – not everyone is and that is all right!
